Wij, een verontruste groep Utrechtse burgers, staan al 78 weken lang, op werkdagen tijdens de ochtendspits op de Neude, hartje Utrecht.
Dat is anderhalf jaar! En we gaan door zolang nodig is. Om jullie erop te blijven wijzen dat het leed in Gaza én op de Westbank niet voorbij is.
Het zogenaamde vredesverdrag heeft geen einde gemaakt aan de erbarmelijke omstandigheden waaronder de Gazanen leven.
Het geweld op de Westbank van Israëlische kolonisten en het leger is alleen maar toegenomen.

Daarom willen we

• Dat Nederland alle handelsbetrekkingen met Israel verbreekt. Grootinvesteerder Nederland is medeplichtig aan de genocide die Israël pleegt.
• Dat Nederland zich aansluit bij de zaak van Zuid-Afrika bij het Internationaal Strafhof waarin Israël wordt aangeklaagd voor genocide in Gaza.
• Dat onze regering alles doet wat in haar macht ligt om een einde te maken aan de onrechtmatige bezetting door Israël van de Westbank

Elke werkdag van 8.30 tot 9.30 uur.
Kom erbij staan, al is het voor 10 minuten.

• Wij zijn een organisch gegroeid burgerinitiatief. Niet gebonden aan een bestaande organisatie.
• Wij zijn ouders die net hun kind naar school hebben gebracht, mensen op weg naar hun werk, studenten, mensen die wachten totdat de bibliotheek opengaat en pensionado’s.
• Wij zijn mensen met een humanistische, christelijke, seculiere, moslim, joodse of andere achtergrond.
• Wij zijn voor gelijke rechten en een menswaardig bestaan voor iedereen.
• Wij zijn tegen onderdrukking en voor vrijheid en democratie.

People of Utrecht stand up for the Palestinians

We, a group of concerned citizens from Utrecht, have been protesting at the Neude in het heart of our city, for the past 78 weeks. We have been doing so during workdays during the early morning rush hour.
This amounts to a year and a half of silent protesting! And we will continue to do so as long as necessary. To remind passersby that the suffering in Gaza and the West Bank has still not come to an end.
The so-called peace treaty has not put an end to the unbearable conditions under which Palestinians are forced to live. On the contrary: the violence by the Israeli colonizers and army has only increased.

Therefore we demand:

• The Netherlands breaks off all trade ties with Israel. As a major investor the Netherlands is complicit in the genocide committed by the state of Israel.
• That the Netherlands joins South Africa case at the International Court of Justice accusing Israel of genocide in Gaza
• That de Dutch government does everything within it’s power to end Israel’s unlawful occupation the West Bank.

Join us in our silent protest

During workdays from 8:30 – 9:30 and help amplify our demands. Even if it’s just for 10 minutes.

• We are an organically grown community of citizens and are not affiliated with any particular existing organization.
• Our community consists of parents that just dropped off their kids at school, people on our way to work, students on our way to class, people waiting for the library to open, and retirees.
• We have humanist, Christian, secular, Jewish, Muslim and all sorts of different backgrounds.
• We stand for human rights: people’s right to exist in a dignified manner and with equal rights.
• We oppose all forms of oppression, and stand for freedom and democracy.
